My practice stems from my fascination of the anthropomorphic figure. Specifically, the fusion and amalgamation of the human animal body and the non-human animal body. This research takes the form of furries, a subculture interested in the same concept of anthropomorphism. It draws notable elements from the fandom such as concepts (fursona), object making (fursuits), and participation (furry conventions). By doing my research through the lense of a furry, I explore notions of the self, identity as well as freedom of self-expression.
